Open Arms offers the freedom and opportunity to explore these specific learning centers designed for your child's age and development.

LEARNING CENTERS

  • Dramatic Play - props, clothing and the imagination promote pretendand make believe.
  • Reading & Writing - developmentally appropriate books and writing materials in a quiet atmosphere will encourage literacy in even the youngest child.
  • Music - listening to music, playing instruments and singing creates an incredible envirnoment and supports and promotes cognitive development.
  • Art - access to materials and supplies stimulates curiosity and interest in creativity, fine motor skills and promotes positive self-esteem.
  • Math - exploring, manipulating, organizing and experiencing will assist in the development of mathematical relationships.
  • Science - investigation, exploration and curiosity combined with hands-on experiments to promote cognitive development
  • Blocks & Manipulatives - any type of blocks combined with additional objects increases fine motor and cognitive development.
  • Physical Play - indoor and outdoor equipment supports gross motor development
  • Sensory - providing the children the opportunity to use their senses through all learning centers.
  • Circle Time - promotes a sense of belonging, this time is used for Bible stories and discussion, finger plays, singing favorite songs, and sharing.
